On social media, the ongoing Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial has become one of the most talked-about topics. Drew Barrymore is one of the most recent celebrities to speak out about it, and her remarks on Friday’s broadcast of the Drew Barrymore Show did not go down well.

The 50 First Dates star was discussing with Anthony Anderson when the two discussed Johnny and Amber’s case.

 

What Drew Barrymore said About Johnny Depp?

Fans from all around the world are following Johnny and Amber’s trial, and Drew informed Anthony that she “can’t bear” it. While discussing the trial with a guest on her show, the actress says, “It’s like one layer of crazy, it’s a seven-layer dip of craziness.” Anthony responds, “It’s actually amazing to sit back and read the transcripts of what they’ve done to one other.”

“I understand that these are two people’s real lives, and I understand what it’s like to have your life thrown out in the open,” Drew says before calling the case “quite interesting.”




The actress expresses regret for what she said.

Many people have expressed their displeasure with Drew for joking around on social media about Johnny and his ex-wife.

 

On Instagram, the actress later apologised for her comments. She posted a video to her Instagram account on May 1st.

“It has come to my attention that making fun of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has angered many, and for that, I genuinely apologise and thank everyone who spoke out because this can be a teaching experience for me,” the Blended star said.
