Calista Kay Flockhart was born in Freeport, Illinois, on November 11, 1964, to Kay, a schoolteacher, and Ronald, a Kraft Foods executive. Calista, whose name means “most lovely” in Greek, was always referred to as “the new girl” at the several schools she attended. Growing up isn’t always easy.

Calista’s early career
Calista was in New York loving the theater scene and wasn’t interested in TV at the moment, but a friend sent her the Ally McBeal screenplay and convinced her to apply. She landed the part, and she became the American equivalent of Bridget Jones, as well as a part of the zeitgeist. Calista became a heroine for young professional women yearning for love, and she had a $100,000-a-week career, a nice departure from the days when she couldn’t pay two months’ rent at once. She starred in many famous films and TV shows like – Lifestories- families in crises, Naked in New York, Drunks, The Birdcage, The last shot, Full Circle, Fragile etc. In the 1999 cinematic adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Flockhart played role of Helena.
Calista’s Love Life
Calista Met actor Harrison Ford in Golden Globe Awards 2002 where she spilt wine on his award mistakenly. After that she has been romantically associated with him as within a week, the news of duo dating came out. Even When Ford was contacted to star in Indiana Jones 4, he insisted that Flockhart play his love interest. His request was granted by the film’s producers. Both get engaged on Valentine’s Day of 2009 and then get married in June 2010 in Mexico.
Calista’s Personal Life
She adopted a baby boy named Liam who was born ten days before on January 11, 2001. Calista’s primary function is parenting, which informs all of her decisions. She expressed her thoughts about his son- Having a son completely changed my life. She also said in an interview that Adopting Liam made a significant impact in her career. She continued that Liam has altered my whole life in all of the clichéd ways like my behavior, my travel plans. He altered my travel plans. He made me what I am as a person now.
Calista’s loves Charity
She continues to contribute to organizations like Public Schools Arts and issues like breast cancer research. On October 21, 2005, she received a Humanitarian Award for her work as the national representative for Peace Over Violence (POV). Calista even travelled to Kenya with Eve Ensler to oppose violence against women, including Female Genital Mutilation.
