Jennie who is a member of the K pop Music band Blackpink has landed a chance to be featured in Idol, the drama series by the Weeknd that’s airing on HBO, she will be seen beside the main character and protagonist of the show.

Recently, it was revealed by the official handle of HBO on the microblogging platform Twitter that Jennie, the singer from the K pop music band will be appearing in the Weeknd’s show the idol alongside the lead character, lily rose Depp.

As we already saw in the teaser trailer of the show, we had caught glimpse of Jennie as she is in the middle of what appears to be a dance practice routine or a choreography session, however in what capacity and the exact details of what is the role of Jennie is a secret that shows creators are still keeping close to their chest.

While in conversation with the South Korean News Portal Yonhap, Jennie from Blackpink did give us a hint about what kind of role and character she has signed up for, she told us that she had found the script to be very interesting and instantly made up her mind that she wanted to be a part of the show, she went ahead to say that she will be putting a lot of effort into the role and will work very hard so she made a request from her fans to shower her with love and support.

Fans react to jennie getting role in the HBO show the idol

The fans of the singer from Blackpink who will soon be a part of the HBO the Weeknd’s show the Idol, are very excited to see her again, she had movies like Blackpink the movie, Castle Einstein and the clash, she plays the role of herself in the youtube series of the name of the band she is part of.

YG Entertainment, the agency for which Jennie works, said that the band Blackpink is in the final stages and is soon going to finish recording another album which is all set to be released for the public in the month of August.
