Beanie Feldstein announces early exit from Broadway’s Funny Girl

As famous as Beanie Feldstein is for her comedic roles, she wasn’t certainly fooling around when she made public her decision to leave Broadway’s Funny Girl, here are all the details you need to know.

Beanie Feldstein decides to depart from Broadway’s Funny Girl

The previous, Beanie Feldstein, on her Instagram handle announced that she will not be seen in Broadway’s Funny Girl anymore, the actress who had been once nominated for the Golden Globe, had portrayed the role of the protagonist Fanny Brice in the show Funny Girl.

She was scheduled to perform through the month of September, till the 25th of the month, but now with the change in her plans, her final act will be on the 31st of July, she wrote that how playing the role of Fanny Brice had been a long-awaited wish for her and how it was her honor to play that role, she also added that the creators of the show decided to steer the show in a direction she did not want, she made the tough call to separate herself from the show sooner than she thought.

She talked about how this was a very memorable experience in her life and how it will always hold a special place in her heart, she went ahead to express her gratitude to all those who came to see her and had shown their support and she included the amazing cast and crew.

What is Broadway’s Funny Girl?

Funny girl is a show that is semi biographical in nature, and is loosely inspired by the life of the comedian Fanny Brice, it also showcases her rise to fame and her passionate romance with the infamous gambler Nick Arnstein.

This wont be the first time the life of fanny brice has been adapted for the big screen, earlier the roles in the lead were played by Barba Streisand and Omar Sharif.
