In recent news, the footage is going viral on the internet and if the claims made by the people about the video are correct, then the video shows 4 teenagers running as fast as possible after they had crashed the vehicle they were in, on some highway in Minnesota, the vehicle in question, was a Kia that they had stolen.
How did the crash happen
As it can be seen in the footage, in an attempt to avoid being caught by the police, who had laid down spiked strips on the road in order to burst the tire, the thief who had been driving took a serious turn to avoid the spike strip, this led to the car crashing into the divider on the road, they could be seen escaping from the car which was now broken and had smoke coming from under its bonnet, they broke into a run for the other side of the road but their attempts to escape in vain since they were apprehended by troopers of the state. It is not surprising to know that all the thieves who are involved in this theft of the Kia are all minors, which includes a boy of 14 years of age and 3 other girls ranging between 15 to 17, all four are currently in the custody of the trooper of the State, as per the statement issued by the police, this took place around 5:30 pm in the evening and the vehicle in question was a Kia Forte 2021, the police had been on alert after they received a complaint from a car rental company in Minnesota has been stolen.
Reaction to the theft by Kia and Hyundai
After this car theft came to light, both the car companies Kia and Hyundai issued their statements about how there has a been a severe rise and a rapid growth in the number of car thefts across the United States and how all their vehicles are equipped with all the necessary equipment as per the safety guidelines of the concerned authority.
