Two months after filing for divorce, Sean Penn and his estranged wife (Leila George) rung in the New Year together. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Penn, 61, and Leila George, 29, were photographed enjoying New Year’s Eve together in Sydney, Australia, alongside actor Kick Gurry and another visitor.

They were last seen together in Miami Beach in early December, where they attended a party with Penn’s buddy Leonardo DiCaPrio. Penn and George also went to Soho Beach House for the actor’s CORE non-profit event.
In 2016, the two became romantically involved, and in July 2020, they married. After barely over a year of marriage to Penn, George, an Australian actress, filed for divorce in mid-October.
Penn spoke on Late Night with Seth Meyers in August 2020, when he revealed, “A COVID wedding was what we did. That is to say, there was a county commissioner on Zoom, and my two children and her brother were at the house. That’s how we accomplished it.”
